Audition criteria include:

• Dance Technique
• Body Alignment
• Performance Skills

PART 1: All applicants participate in a jazz dance class.

Proper dance attire is required for auditions (see FAQ below).

PART 2 :( Optional) Applicants may prepare a solo dance for the audition. It can be ballet, tap, jazz, or modern. It should be 1 minute in length.

Q: What is proper dance attire?
A: All students are required to bring leotard, tights, and ballet slippers or jazz shoes to the audition.

Q: Do I come dressed to the audition, or is there a place to change clothes?
A: Locker Room facilities are available for all students.

Q: Will a CD player/tape deck be provided for the audition?

A: Yes. Audio equipment is provided.

Q: What am I auditioning for?

A: There are two levels of dance, the audition will determine if the student will be placed in level 1 or level 2. Level 1 is a beginner class and level 2 is a more advanced class.
