Welcome to Christ the King Regional High School.  My name is Carol Timpone and I am the Assistant Principal of instruction for Science, Religion Physical Education and Health.  I am the Supervising Assistant Principal for our incoming freshman class.  We know the pressures of the first year adjustment to high school are very real and I am here to make the transition an easy one.  I bring to this position 32 years of educating in a Catholic school as well as being a product of Catholic education myself.  Here at Christ the King we offer a highly challenging college prep curriculum, to meet the academic needs to prepare our students for the future.

The Science department offers courses on the honors and regents’ level as well as a vast amount of elective courses such as Environmental Science, Forensics, AP Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Physics.  Freshman year the students will take The Living Environment course, sophomores will have the choice of Chemistry, or Earth Science.  Each of the freshman and sophomore classes follows the New York State curriculum which concludes with a regent exam.  Our science department gives students the opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge that allows them to compete in the ever growing scientific world.

Our Religion department helps students to prepare for the world beyond Christ the King with a personal understanding of the principles of the Catholic faith.  Course offerings include Catholic Foundations for grade 9 and 10 Hebrew and Christian Scripture for grade 11 and for our seniors their curriculum will prepare them for their next part of their Christian life.  Our students will also have the opportunity to deepen their faith through Christian service.

Our Physical Education and Health department stress healthy life styles and living by offering a wide variety of team sports, life time activities, and fitness.  The Physical Education department carefully selects and plans experiences to develop body and mind, while the health curriculum students will identify the importance of taking responsibility for their life choices,

I hope that you enjoy your time today at Christ the King, We provide a safe supportive learning.
